Uptual 3.0

Local Discovery (2013)

Uptual is a Q&A community for discovering new things and places in your city.

I collaborated with an amazing cross-functional team to build Uptual. I led the design through several big product pivots until arriving at this version.

I learned ALOT from my experience at Uptual. Each pivot was filled with learning opportunities. A key lesson was the importance of testing and validating product assumptions early in the development cycle.

I also learned the value of taking action but in a lean and smart way, creating and testing design solutions as quickly as possible with as little expense as possible. And I got really good at communicating fluently with developers, marketing, business and product people.
